MADISON, Wis. – The 20th Annual Standard Imaging Battling Cancer Golf Classic will take place on Monday, May 23 at Maple Bluff Country Club.
This event, hosted by Standard Imaging of Middleton, has a bit of everything for everyone: golf, food, drink, silent auction, raffle, and individual and team prizes.
Their goal is to raise $30,000 for the Carbone Cancer Center at the University of Wisconsin to support radiation therapy research.
Along with golf output, which has grown tremendously over the past two decades, a major source of their fundraising comes from an online silent auction. It starts on Wednesday May 18 and ends on the evening of Monday May 23.
Participants do not need to play golf to participate in the auction. Indeed, the golf part is already full this year. Their goal this year is to expand the reach of this online auction to more people in the 608.
“Our main product area in the business is quality assurance, so we’re trying to improve the quality of healthcare, and that’s just another way of doing that by supporting local research at the UW Carbone Cancer Center. , where all of our revenue goes,” said Ed Neumueller, CEO of Standard Imaging. “They do amazing things that most people don’t see, but there are a lot of dedicated researchers inside who are doing tons of progress every year, and this is a small way we can contribute to that.”
The Silent Auction includes all kinds of items donated by local businesses and people from the 608 community, so if you want to learn more about this event or want to check out the Silent Auction items, just drop by on their website.
News 3 Now is proud to donate a WISC-TV “Behind the Scenes Tour”, which will be hosted by “In the 608” reporter Josh Spreiter.
