“Bid Now!” : Feeding America, AJ Dillon opens silent auction to provide meals for children, autographed items included

(WFRV) – Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin and Green Bay Packer AJ Dillon have teamed up to help provide free meals for kids this summer.

The Healthy Kids Healthy Summer campaign announced in early June that Dillon donated $25,000 in the countryside. Now there is a way for anyone to donate that offers a win-win situation for everyone involved.

A silent auction, with items including autographed jerseys and helmets from Brett Favre, Randall Cobb, and Dillon, tickets to the Milwaukee Brewer, a Milwaukee Tool M18 lawnmower, and more.

So far, the campaign has raised over 250,000 meals for local neighbors in need, and the silent auction will hopefully take that number to a new high.

While people can bid on items silently, this is not a matter that should be kept quiet.

“We understand that healthy kids have a better learning edge, which is important whether they’re in the classroom or not, but we also understand that a growing number of families continue to struggle to put food on their table,” Cathy said. Cooper, senior director of community partnerships and donations for Meijer.

The silent auction ends July 28 at 8 p.m. Click here to see the full list of items available for bidding.
