Blueprints and Bow Ties Live Auction and Receiving October 3


Watauga Habitat for Humanity will hold its 8e Blueprints and Bow Ties annual auction and reception on Thursday October 3. Celebrity auctioneer Jesse Miller, of First Security Insurance, will solicit bids on items including weekend beach getaways to Ocean Isle and Myrtle Beach, golf packages, catered shopping sprees, vouchers -gifts at the coolest local restaurants and more. This annual event promises an exhilarating and energetic auction with excellent cuisine from Reid’s Catering and DJ services provided by Mohr Fun Entertainment.

“Plans and bow ties are growing in popularity every year. We’ll kick off the event with an animated “pile or pile” game to get the crowd moving. We will be offering a silent auction, a photo booth and more. We’re excited to welcome the event back to our ReStore as guests can’t wait to see us redo our non-profit home improvement store for the evening, ”said Allison Jennings, Director of Development. “With the support of the community, Watauga Habitat for Humanity builds its strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter. The families who partner with Habitat for Humanity are extremely grateful for your support, ”said Jennings.

Wine, beer and cider will be provided by a cash bar by Appalachian Mountain Brewery and gourmet meals provided by Reid’s Catering. The event will take place at the Habitat Restore located at 1200 Archie Carroll Road in Boone. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the live auction will begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets cost $ 40 each or 2 for $ 75 and can be purchased online at www.wataugahabitat.org.
