Community to Host Charity Dinner and Silent Auction for Charlie Frattini – Knox County VillageSoup

Charlie Frattini

Charlie Frattini, master builder and construction master of the Rockport Public Library, suffered a debilitating and crippling stroke in January, with medical complications that are only partially understood. He currently remains in a medical care facility in Portland. Charlie and his wife Emily Gorecki have made it their goal to complete renovations and make physical changes to their historic Thomaston home in order to make the house accessible and allow Charlie to live there and practice his skills in the best of his abilities.

The benefit dinner and silent auction scheduled for 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 14 at the Rockport Opera House is intended to raise funds to allow these changes to take place as soon as possible. Additional medical costs are also likely, so funds raised will be used for both purposes.

Charlie is a Marine Corps veteran and was at Ground Zero on 9/11 assisting firefighters and other first responders. He hosted or acted in various television productions. Charlie has also worked on many home renovations for veterans as well as others in need. As General Contractor Manager at Phi Builders and Architects in Rockport, he played a key role in all aspects of the construction of the recently completed Rockport Public Library.

Those wishing to contribute but unable to attend the dinner may send a check to Megan Brackett, Rockport Town Hall, 101 Main St., Rockport, ME 04856. Checks should be made payable to Charlie Frattini.
