Golf Business News – Golf Foundation launches online charity auction

Golfers who want to help raise money for a national charity, The Golf Foundation, can take advantage of an online auction in the coming week, which promises great life experiences – from flying a mission from Top Gun plane to some of the best courses in the world.

The Golf Foundation is hosting its innovative ‘Golf at Goodwood’ fundraiser on September 1, and golfers around the world can tune in to a unique online auction that ends live on that date.

You can bid to pilot your very own T67 Top Gun style combat mission, learn how to create perfect Dim Sum for six at Soho House, enjoy seven courses at a world-renowned Michelin-starred Indian restaurant, or enjoy hospitality for four at the 151st Open Championship at Royal Liverpool. Fantastic golf balls are available for auction at iconic golf courses including Royal Portrush, Gleneagles, Woburn, Prince’s and Woodhall Spa.

By participating in this auction, you will help the Golf Foundation in its mission to introduce golf to more children and young people, from all walks of life, by creating golfers, because its charity team knows that golf can change lives.

Vanessa Bell, Head of Fundraising for the Golf Foundation, said: ‘We have some brilliant auction prizes ending live at our event in Goodwood on September 1st, so why not get involved today and make your offer.

“Every donation we receive helps us continue our work to bring this great game to more young people of all backgrounds. Golf is a sport that teaches valuable life skills to children of all abilities, and with your help, we can make a major difference for more young people. We would like to thank everyone for learning more about our auction and wish everyone the best of luck with their bidding!

Meanwhile, 21 teams have booked their places for the Golf at Goodwood fundraiser on September 1. Participating golfers will experience the excellent facilities of this famous venue, try innovative game formats based on the GolfSixes League and enjoy a special gala dinner.
