The Oregon Coastal Quilters Guild (OCQG) hosted an online auction to help support guild programs. From September 5 to 26, viewers can head to www.32auctions.com/oregoncoastal quilters2021 to bid on unique wall hangings, comfy quilts, kids quilts, bed quilts, table runners and special bags.
Many of the items were made by some of OCQG’s award-winning quilters. Viewers are also encouraged to let their friends and family know on social media about the auction.
Guild programs that will benefit from the auction proceeds include Zoom presentations of quilters across the United States and Canada. The OCQG is also very active in providing quilt presentations to Lincoln County veterans and local community organizations.
OCQG is a non-profit organization founded in 1991. The objectives of the group are to promote brotherhood among quilters, to promote knowledge and appreciation of quilting and quilt making, and to sponsor and support activities. quilting.
In 2020, guild members made and donated hundreds of quilts, as well as other handmade items to various organizations in Lincoln County. The guild also provides support to museums in Lincoln County.
