Historic Milwaukee Online Auction is now live


We here at Milwaukee Record are fans of a good online auction. Since our Pretty Good online auction won’t take place until the fall, we wanted to draw your attention to another great local auction that’s happening right now.

Historic MilwaukeeThe online auction of was launched this morning. Between February 19 and February 27, people can place their bids on a wide range of local items from various businesses, while helping the organization in the process.

“This auction helps support Historic Milwaukee’s year-round mission to share our city’s architecture, history and neighborhoods,” reads a press release from Historic Milwaukee. “By bidding and donating to our organization, you help support programs like Doors Open, Spaces & Traces, student walking tours, and more.”

The more than 100 items up for auction include gift cards to area restaurants and breweries, theater tickets, hotel stays, products from the Milwaukee Historic Shop, blacksmithing lessons, membership on a Bubblr bike and hyper-local delights like an autograph Gertie the duck book and even a Zoom chat with John Gurda himself. Oh, and they also auction off a full set of these awesome Milwaukee Neighborhood Posters! The auction runs until 9 p.m. CST on Sunday, February 27. Place these offers now!
