The Lake Superior Community Partnership Annual Dinner is this week! This event is our biggest fundraiser of the year. We are anticipating a few hundred people at this fun event on Thursday May 5 at the Northern Center Ballrooms. Each year, we come together to support the economic development of Marquette County, celebrate our successes and recognize our Distinguished Service Award winners. The event includes a buffet dinner, bucket drawings, silent auction and short program. New for 2022, our silent auction is LIVE for the entire week leading up to the event and does not end until just before midnight on the evening of the annual dinner. Attendees will be able to place all of their bids online in advance, throughout the event and after. Thank you to all the businesses that contributed to our silent auction and raffle!

We would like to thank our many event sponsors; Enbridge, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, Cleveland Cliffs, Inc., Eagle Mine, Northern Michigan University, Oaklea Simpson Security (OSS), WLUC TV6, 44North, Vast, Carpet Specialists, Upper Peninsula Power Company, Eco Smart Home Pros, Envirologic : Environmental Consulting & Services, Fairfield Inn & Suites, Iron Range Agency, Landmark Inn, Lasco, Small Business Association of Michigan and Sawyer International Airport for their generous donations to this year’s annual dinner. It is individuals and companies like yours that drive the LSCP forward. We can’t thank you enough!

The individual recipient of this year’s Distinguished Service Award (DSA) is Jesse Bell. Jesse is President and CEO of Bell Financial. Jesse has been an incredible asset to many Marquette County organizations. To name a few, his community involvement includes serving on the West End Planning Committee, Ishpeming Town Center Development Authority and the Ishpeming Main Street Committee. He has also served on the board of Grow & Lead Child & Youth Development, Upper Peninsula Hospice Foundation, NMU Foundation and Kitchi-Mi-Kana Bicycle Club. Additionally, he has served as a Marquette County Ambassador and LSCP Board Member for the past 20 years. His commitment to these initiatives has helped shape the future of Marquette County.

The recipient of this year’s Distinguished Service Award is Superior Extrusion, Inc. With all the expansions made over the years and its commitment to the region, Superior Extrusion, Inc. has established itself as an economic engine for our community.

This year’s annual dinner will be fun for all and another great opportunity for LSCP partners to showcase their business, network with each other and enjoy a night out. Above all, this event is an opportunity for you to contribute to the economic development activities of the Lake Superior Community Partnership.
