Judson College Memorabilia For Sale: How To Buy Auction Items Online

Judson College, founded in 1838, was the fifth-oldest women’s college in the United States before it closed last year.

The small Marion Baptist-affiliated college campus has gone quiet, and many items and furniture left behind in its buildings will be auctioned off.

This will include university yearbooks, history books and other library texts and vintage furniture such as tables, chairs and bookcases, as well as unusual items such as vintage sets of teacups.

Scott Williams, CEO of High As the Sky Auction Co. in Wetumpka, said his company will hold a three-part online auction for some Judson College personal property.

“This sale will include selected rare books, Judson College books, antiques, collectibles, artwork, furniture, historical artifacts, Judson collectibles and more,” Williams said. in a statement sent to AL.com about the auction.

The first sale will be live for listing and bidding on August 7, with over 1,300 lots, which are single items or groups of items sold as a unit.

The second sale will take place on August 14, with approximately 1,000 lots.

The final sale will be live on October 8.

“We look forward to representing the college with a professional online auction,” Williams said.
