The fundraiser – which will launch November 9-14 – brings in money that goes to local children’s programs as well as international projects.

In previous years, the auction raised over $ 40,000 for the Rotary Club of Sarnia.

Hundreds of online auction participants typically bid on items and services donated by Sarnia-Lambton businesses and this year, Rotarians have solicited businesses and organizations to ask them to pledge goods or services to include in this year’s auction, despite the economic climate, said co-host Rick Marsh.

“It’s all thanks to the generous participation of local businesses,” said Marsh. “Despite difficult times in some areas, businesses continued to support the auction. It’s incredible.”

The club is using the auction to promote local businesses in return for their support, Marsh said. Anyone who donates to the auction will see their name featured prominently on the website as well as on social media.

“We want local businesses to continue to bounce back,” he said.

Anyone wishing to donate goods or services should contact the club at [email protected]

The auction starts on November 9 at sarniarotaryauction.com.
