Online auction to help save thousands of homeless animals in Pierce County – The Suburban Times

Submitted by Humane Society for Tacoma & Pierce County.

The Humane Society for Tacoma & Pierce County hosts its annual Raise Your Paw online auction from October 20-29, an event animals in need rely on every year.

Every dollar raised through winning offers goes directly towards supplies, food and medical care for the thousands of animals who come to the shelter in search of a second chance at happy and healthy lives.

One of those dogs is Roo, who was brought to the shelter as a stray dog with a leg injury. The injury had not been treated for too long, and the shelter’s veterinary team performed an amputation so he could live a pain-free life. Shelter staff helped Roo fully recover and adjust to living on three legs.

Now Roo has a loving family and will never have to feel alone again. With the support of the community, Roo was able to get the care he desperately needed and a second chance.

The community can help save more animals like Roo by participating in this year’s auction virtually and bidding on a range of unique items and experiences.

Auctions start at 6:00 a.m. on October 20 and end at 7:00 p.m. on October 29. The public can register by visiting:
