PM Modi’s SCC Alumni Card and Ram Temple are online auction items


The auction is taking place on the pmmentos.gov.in website, which has a section that lists items under “Most Participated Auction”.

The auction started at 10 a.m. on Saturday, coinciding with Modi’s 72nd birthday.

A keepsake was donated by the National Cadet Corps (NCC) in the form of an alumni card displaying Modi’s photograph, ‘Life Member’, the year 2021, and ‘Directorate: Guj, DD & DNH’ is one of those sought after items. As of around 11 a.m. Sunday, the alumni card had received more than 20 offers.

Other items in this category include various model sizes and weights of the upcoming Ram temple in Ayodhya. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath presented the Prime Minister with a realistic, small-scale wooden model of Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir displayed inside a display case model.

It is a temple under construction on the site of Ram Janmabhoomi, the birthplace of Lord Rama. The main structure of the shrine sits on a raised platform and has three floors, according to the item’s description on the auction site.

“It has five ‘mandapas’ in the ‘garbhagriha’ which has been diligently designed on the replica model. The model is adorned with several vibrant flowers on all the edges and corners of the structure,” it says.

The model weighs 6 kg and has dimensions of 45 cm x 41 cm x 36 cm. The starting price of this gift is 10,800. According to the auction website, other Ram temple designs include one weighing 2.5kg and measuring 46cm x 30cm x 35cm, another weighing 3.2kg and another weighing 1.75 kg.

Many other religious goods, such as a metallic ‘shankh’ (conch), figurines of Lord Ganesha, a trident and a replica of the wooden idol of Tirupati Balaji Maharaj, are also included in the “Most Participated Auction” category. .

“Tirupati Balaji is an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Lord Balaji is depicted as having a ’tilaka’ on his forehead, a ‘shakha’ (conch) on his left shoulder, a ‘chakra’ (disk) on his right shoulder, Bhudevi ( Goddess of Earth), and Sridevi (Goddess of Wealth) in her heart. Her right hand is in Abhay mudra while the left rests on her waist,” reads the description on the auction site.

Andhra Pradesh Governor Biswa Bhusan Harichandan introduced him to Prime Minister Modi.

The intricately detailed metallic ‘shankh’ is an exquisite item that is housed in a red velvet box.

“The conch shell in relief depicts Lord Vishnu resting on Sheshnag, with Goddess Lakshmi massaging his feet. The upper part of the shell is decorated with floral designs. Vishnu is depicted holding his attributes such as mace, lotus and conch shell while her fourth hand rests on her thigh,” her description read.

It is 10cm long, weighs 1150g and received more than 30 bids on Sunday at 11am.

“It is a chess knight named Thambi and designed in the traditional Tamil attire, saying vanakkam (with folded hands). The name is a symbol of brotherhood, and it indicates that we all belong to one brotherhood,” reads -on in its description on the site. .

The 31cm tall mascot statue weighs 1650g and received more than 30 bids as of 11am on Sunday.

The “Most Participated Auction” category also includes a mace, an ornate sword, a metal statue of Ashok Stambh and a statue of Nataraja.

The auction also includes a gold-plated miniature sculpture of an elephant with its trunk raised and a wooden chess board with 32 brass chess pieces kept in a case.

“MODIAGAINPM”, a statue of Prime Minister Modi giving a speech, is also requested. This is a framed photo of a mission statement written in English, surrounded by floral borders on each side, with the first letters of each line forming the phrase “MODIAGAINPM”.

A white t-shirt autographed by the Indian men’s hockey team, which won a silver medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, also falls into this category, with a starting price of 3 lakh, according to the auction site.
