National Reso-Phonic Guitars created a custom, one-of-a-kind steel guitar for the benefit
PASO ROBLES — The Dining with the Arts Gala raises vital funds for the Paso Robles Youth Arts Center’s free visual and performing arts program and is set to return live. Guests often say “it’s their favorite event of the year” and for good reason.
The community is invited to enjoy a beautiful benefit evening celebrating all that we love about youth arts, for the first time ever, in the historic Paso Robles Inn Ballroom. Guest tickets include bubbles, Firestone Walker Brewing Company beer, Central Coast Wine Competition wines, hors d’oeuvres, and dinner in the ballroom with award-winning chef Trish Jacobs of Paso Catering (with a menu including Chef Trish’s 1st Place Paella). Guests will be delighted with performances by music and dance students, a silent auction and a live auction with auctioneer Cody Dawson.
Master of ceremonies Leo Castillo, former chairman of the board of directors, will make a comeback. Vintage costumes are encouraged. The live auction will feature many surprises, including a 7-night stay at a private home in Baja, a Traeger BBQ, a Speakeasy Distillery Package and more. Guitar lovers, this one’s for you; The most interesting item in the live auction is a one-of-a-kind National Resophonic Guitar, Model NRP in “Acid Wash” finish. It replicates the tone and feel of the original 1930s Nationals, but with a clever twist.
Its compact, thin steel body and light weight make it one of the easiest resonators to pick up and play. National’s world-renowned 9.5-inch aluminum cone produces this instrument’s tone for unparalleled resonance and note projection. Exceptional playability, great tone, and a “Steam Punk” look make this National Custom an eye-opening and ear-opening resonator guitar. You won’t want to miss the opportunity to win this very rare guitar.

About the Paso Robles Youth Arts Center
The Paso Robles Youth Arts Center (Youth Arts) is a non-profit organization founded in 1998 by artist and philanthropist Donna Berg. His vision was to provide all children in Paso Robles and surrounding areas with a safe place to learn and participate in the arts, regardless of socioeconomic status. By encouraging the arts and creativity, Youth Arts is a place where kids can stay kids. The arts provide a creative outlet and a positive way to deal with the pressures of the world. In this way, he has helped over 10,000 students find their voice, fight for higher education, and stay out of gangs and trouble. The Youth Arts has been providing children aged 5 to 18 with free tuition in the visual and performing arts for 24 years and currently offers 37 lessons per week, occupies approximately 3,000 student places and serves 700 individual students per year. The programs are open to all students who wish to enroll. They offer art, dance, music, theater and creative enrichment that includes unique opportunities like video production, digital music creation and culinary arts! They depend entirely on donations, private and public funding, grants and scholarships. For more information regarding donations, volunteering, participating in performances, fundraisers, or classes, please contact the Youth Arts Office at (805) 238-5825 or visit pryoutharts.org.
