Silent Auction donations needed for benefit event for downtown fire victims

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – The Popcorn Tavern is hosting a benefit event for those affected by the India Curry House fire.

The performance will be on Sunday May 22 at 2 p.m.

Donations from the event will go to tenants who lived above the restaurant.

Organizers are seeking donations for a silent auction to be held next door at Bridges Church.

Auction donations must be dropped off or picked up by Thursday, May 19.

All proceeds from the silent auction and a raffle will go directly to those involved. Cash donations can be dropped off at the Popcorn Tavern.

The event will feature live music, plus free food and beer while supplies last.
