Benefit Rebuilding Together Metro Denver Event Raises $ 5,500 for a Local Charity Providing Repair Services to Homeowners in Need Across the Denver Metro

The South Metro Denver REALTOR® Association (SMDRA) and its Charity and Community Involvement Committee (CCIC) hosted a silent charity auction on Friday, June 18, 2021 to benefit Rebuilding Together Metro Denver (RTMD), the a leading provider of home repair services in need in the Seven County Metropolitan Area. A check for $ 5,500 was presented to RTMD representatives at the weekly SMDRA marketing meeting at the association’s headquarters in Centennial.

“The South Metro Denver Realtor Association has once again shown its dedication to helping those less fortunate in Metro Denver and this generous donation will go a long way in our efforts across the region,” said Jodie Liddy, Executive Director of RTMD . “I would like to thank the members of SMDRA, support staff and members of the Charities and Community Involvement Committee for their time and effort. The real estate industry is booming, but the caring members of SMDRA still find time to help those in need.

“We are working diligently to support a variety of charities in Metro Denver and are thrilled once again to help RTMD,” said Kelsey McMaster, Chair of the Charities and Community Involvement Committee of SMDRA. “For the past 22 years, RTMD has helped low-income homeowners with free essential health and safety repairs. The charity’s goal is to provide safe and healthy homes in metro Denver communities while helping aging adults, veterans, and people with disabilities maintain property and age in place. It is truly a distinct pleasure to lend them a hand.

RTMD believes everyone deserves a safe and healthy home and it helps transform the lives of low-income homeowners and revitalize communities. The nonprofit is tackling what could be tragic results by providing home repairs so these homeowners can continue to live in safe and healthy homes. Through home repairs and modifications, they prevent falls, perform energy upgrades, and make homes safer and healthier.
