The Chair’s inaugural fundraising event to support artists and artistic education – Online auction underway | Culture & Leisure

Many nonprofit arts organizations have been deeply affected by the pandemic, which is why artists in the Cave Creek / Carefree community have been challenged to “Re-Imagine, Re-Purpose and Re-Create” furniture. house as part of the inauguration Sonoran Arts League Chair-ity Fundraising & Auction.

Household furnishings will include, but are not limited to, chairs, tables and dressers, which will be reused as functional items for the home or garden. Themes span a range of styles, including country chic, glam, Hollywood noir, Americana, and more, and the proceeds from the auction will go to the Sonoran Arts League in its mission to support art, artists and l ‘artistic education.

Three chairs were donated by businesses in the region: Cave, Local Johnny’s and Grand Earl’s. Some of the League’s board members / artists who participate include Joanie wolter, Jane boggs, Pat Isaacson and Sarah Byrne.

All articles can be viewed at the Arts League gallery starting October 6 with a online auction 8:00 a.m., Saturday October 9 at 7:00 p.m., Saturday October 23. At that time, the auction will begin on a live auction of selected coins at Sonora Arts League Gallery.

During the live event on October 23, food and drink will be provided from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., with catering service by a resident of Cave Creek Laurie Thrasher of Can do endowment. Proceeds from this event will go to the Sonora Arts League in its mission to support art, artists and arts education for the community. Wine, beer, vodka and juices will be available with wine donated by an Arts League member Shannon Taggart from his family’s cellar, King’s domain.

Special gift certificates for the auction were offered by Whole health on a daily basis, Tonto Bar & Grill, El Encanto, Blue Burger, Wines for humanity, Phoenix Art Museum and Desert Foothills Library. Rebecca clubb, owner of Whole Health Everyday, is also an acrylic and oil painter and offers two gift certificates from his business.
