Tigers announce Detroit Roots online auction


DETROIT – As a fun new way to give Detroit Tigers fans the ability to access unique memories of their favorite players and enjoy exclusive experiences, the Detroit Tigers Foundation is hosting the “Detroit Roots” online auction. »Until August 31.

This exciting auction will feature special Tigers items available for a limited time, as well as specific offers highlighted each week. There will also be exclusive souvenirs and unique items that will be available throughout the auction period.

Auction items include a virtual meet and greet with Tigers pitcher Michael Fulmer; a behind-the-scenes experience with the Detroit broadcasters; a chance to meet Detroit 2021 first-round pick Jackson Jobe on his maiden trip to Comerica Park; numerous signed and unsigned merchandise items; tickets to a Tigers game at Tiger Den during Fan Appreciation Weekend this season; tickets to an upcoming Detroit Red Wings, throwing the first pitch at a Toledo Mud Hens game and more.

Special ‘Flash’ packages will also be unlocked throughout the auction period for 72 hours only, giving fans the option to bid on a virtual analysis of the throwing or hitting mechanics by a Tigers position trainer ( from August 24 to 26) or a virtual meeting and welcome with Tigers manager AJ Hinch (August 29 to 31). The current flash sale, offering a chance to virtually face off against Tigers pitcher Derek Holland on “MLB The Show,” is available until Thursday.
