Vanderburgh County Fair raises money with silent auction of artistic woodcarvings

The 2021 Vanderburgh County 4-H Fair will run through Saturday, July 31.

A must-see at the fair is part of the 100th anniversary festivities; Hollow wood carvings of bears.

Sculptor Jason Emmons will turn logs into works of art in front of the fair’s spectators until Saturday evening.

The pieces made by Emmons will be sold in a silent auction to support the Vanderburgh County Fair Association.

Auction closes on Saturday at 9 p.m.

Bear Hollow is located in French Lick and specializes in wood carving and offers custom work.
