Village Theater Guild begins silent online auction May 23

The Glen Ellyn Village Theater Guild will be holding its first silent online auction starting Sunday May 23 through Sunday June 6.

The auction has a number of very special items that you can bid on. All auctions and payments are processed securely through the online auction site,

One of the guild members offers the ‘Sweet treat of the month’, where once a month a homemade dessert will be delivered to your home for you to enjoy (three cakes, three pies, three cookie trays and three surprise desserts are included You must reside within 30 miles of the theater.

The range of items donated include: a one-year unlimited family membership to the Brookfield Zoo with a free parking pass; several framed prints of Monet’s works of art; a collection of books and films from Second City and “Saturday Night Live” actors; autobiographies and films of many of your favorite stage and movie stars; a variety of gift baskets for your reading, food and drink cravings; books by your favorite authors; books on films, films and history; handmade items for your home and garden; a number of toys and fun items for children; and more.

Village Theater Guild, a 501 (c) (3) non-profit theater, has been in existence for 58 years. The theater was once a small school and is over 100 years old.

Due to COVID-19, the season is on hiatus. Help the Village Theaters Guild with operational expenses until they can start Theater Season again.
