Watauga Habitat for Humanity’s annual plans and live bow tie auction fundraiser to be held on October 18

Watauga Habitat for Humanity will be holding its 7th Annual Blueprints and Bow Ties Auction and Gala Reception on Thursday, October 18. Celebrity auctioneer Jesse Miller, of First Security Insurance, will solicit bids for the items. including a week-long Ocean Isle beach getaway, a week-long endless vacation with destinations around the world, golf packages, catered shopping sprees, Montana Ranch Week, gift certificates at the hottest local restaurants and more. This annual event promises an exhilarating and energetic auction with great food from Gadabouts Catering and music provided by Gadabouts Catering.

“Plans and bow ties are growing in popularity every year. We’ll kick off the event with an animated “pile or pile” game to get the crowd moving. We will be offering a silent auction, games, a photo booth and more. We’re excited to welcome the event back to our ReStore as guests can’t wait to see us redo our non-profit home improvement store for the evening, ”said Allison Jennings, Director of Development. “With the support of the community, Watauga Habitat for Humanity builds its strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter. Wine, beer and cider will be provided by a cash bar by Appalachian Mountain Brewery. The food will be prepared by Gadabouts Catering, serving items such as crab cakes, barbecue pork sliders and gourmet desserts. The event will take place at the Habitat Restore which is located at 1200 Archie Carroll Rd in Boone. Doors will open at 6:30 pm and the live auction will begin at 7:30 pm Tickets are $ 40 each or 2 for $ 75 and can be purchased online at www.wataugahabitat.org.
