If you’re on the hunt for a used vehicle and like the idea that a celebrity has owned it before, then Kanye West’s Wyoming Fleet may be of interest to you.

Now that West – or “Ye” as he is now called – is leaving Cody, he has decided to put six of his vehicles he used on his ranch. put up for auction.

Scott Roybal, a Cheyenne city councilor who has worked in the auto industry for more than 30 years, said the prices – as they stand now – are a steal.

Of course, that may change as the auctions don’t end until November 23. But until then the prices are good, he said.

To be won, a 2016 Ford F-350, a 2017 Ford F-250, a 2018 Ford F-150 Raptor, a 2019 Ford F-150 Raptor, a 2020 Ford Expedition XLT Max and a 2020 Ford Expedition Limited Stealth Edition.

“The 2017 Ford is priced at $ 36,750 – in fact, I can see them on a lot at probably somewhere around that $ 40,000 to $ 42,000 range,” Roybal said.

He said the Ford Expeditions are currently bidding well below market value and the two Ford F-150 Raptors are following each other pretty close to what they would normally sell for.

But overall, the auction starts on the low side, he said, which is surprising given the state of the industry.

“With the automotive market as it is now and with [car dealers] not being able to get a lot of new cars, the used car market has kind of exploded, ”he said.

As for the vehicles belonging to Kanye, that did not impress him. It is the condition of the vehicle that counts.

“They might be worth less because they belonged to Kanye,” he said.

The auction house would likely disagree with this.

Mark Musser, from Musser Brother auctions at Cody, said there has been “a lot of interest” in these vehicles.

“The phone has been ringing all the time, and lots of emails and lots of other inquiries. We get thousands of hits a day, ”Musser said.

Even while on the phone with Cowboy State Daily, Musser said 120 people were on the website looking at the vehicles.

Originally, West resold the vehicles to Fremont Motors in Cody, where he initially purchased them. Musser then came up with the idea of auctioning them off instead.

“Right after seeing that Fremont Motors owned these vehicles, I approached the general manager of Fremont and said, ‘Hey, that would make a great auction just because of the history behind these vehicles. Musser said.

Musser said his guess is as good as anyone about the prices the vehicles will bring when the auction ends in three weeks.

“I don’t know where this thing is going to land when it’s all said and done,” he said.
